In early 2023, The Pear Ring became a dating sensation, selling over half a million units. That sparked the popularisation of the pear emoji as a subtle signal for looking for love.

What’s this got to do with Lynx? The scent of attraction just happens to contain Pear notes. So we jumped on the pear emoji trend with an activation around Lynx Black. Linking the new symbol of attraction with the scent of attraction.

For Valentine's Day, we targeted Lynx's ‘Urban Set’ audience, blending online and offline strategies. A live sampling event featured TikTok comedian Formz, who released a track called ‘Get Peared Up,’ driving engagement with influencers and a #PearToks challenge.

Tap into the trending Pear symbol of attraction, by celebrating the pear ingredient in the ultimate scent of attraction.

The Cultural Impact

The campaign achieved 1.8 million reach, 101,000 engagements, 1.4 million TikTok views.
